Warning: I am not at all sure he was a son of William. Some genealogy sites say he was a son of Lewis, but I don't see how that could be.
I think the idea that Lewis is Jonathan's father comes from the fact that Lewis signed the marriage bond for Jonathan Rigsby + Polly Sanders. Their father William died between 1820 and 1830. Apparently he died before Jonathan married in 1824, and Lewis signed as Jonathan's older brother.
