Her birthdate is given as 1662, 1668, and 1690. The first two seem more likely than the last, unless there is actually a generation missing. See notes for the various Collins men.

Some sources give her parents as John Roberton/Robinson and Ann Holliday, while others give them as Thomas Robinson/Robertson and Elizabeth (unk). If there were actually two Catherines who married Collins men, perhaps the 1668 one is from John and Ann, while the 1690 one is from Thomas and Elizabeth.
Thomas is shown born 1642, 1652, and 1658, usually in Kindeace, Ross, Scotland.

Apparently John Robinson left land to his grandchildren Joseph, Thomas, and William Collins, so it seems most likely that John is the father of Catherine.
