Amory Butler married Elizabeth Catlett in 1672. She was formerly Elizabeth
Underwood who first married Capt. Francis Slaughter (d. ca 1656), secondly married
Col John Catlett (before 1/5/1663) (d. 1670) and lastly Amory Butler.
Her will proven 5/7/1673 Rappahannock Co. names son Francis Slaughter, daughter
Sarah (under 17 years)(she later md. Robert Taliaferro), son John Catlett (under 19
years), son William, daughter Elizabeth (who later married Francis Taliaferro). The
will also mentions her deceased husband, John Catlett and names her current
husband, Amory Butler as Executor.
