If I'm reading this page right, an obituary for her says she rode on the first steamboat that was invented, when the excursion party took the first trip on it.
The trip was 1818-08-23, on Lake Erie, steamship Walk-in-the-Water.
The timing would be difficult for her to be on it. She married in Switzerland Co IN in 1819.

On 1872-07-03 she filed for a widow's pension based on George Bowman's service in the War of 1812.
